Lara Tremayne was born in London in 1969. She is a multimedia artist and has exhibited in solo and group shows in the UK, USA and New Zealand, most recently with Photopia, UK. She is internationally trained – London (UK) and Auckland (NZ), and divides her time between London, Sussex and Spain. 

With a strong sense of purpose and profound self reflection Lara turns her trauma; tragedy, abuse and loss into her life’s work. She embraces the uncomfortable and courageously reveals her vulnerabilities to the world. 

Through the use of text she intuitively addresses her complex emotions and feels the resulting contradictions that arise. It is in the tension, the place between the two opposing forces that she situates herself in. 

Her artistic practice spans various mediums including paper based text works, audio and photography.
